Serenity in an 1840s stable

Twamley Farm is a 7,000 acre working farm on the Tea Tree Rivulet, just outside Buckland on the East Coast of Tasmania. The farm hosts several accomodation options, each ready to help you discover something unique beyond the beautiful beaches and scenery of the Great Eastern Drive.

Our top pick? The unique 1840s converted stable. The Stable is a beautifully renovated two storey sandstone building overlooking the hills of Twamley Farm and nestled underneath the canopy of century old English oaks - the perfect romantic country getaway.

The accomodation boasts a stunning queen size bedroom on the upper level, with an ensuite bathroom. Downstairs is a contemporary open plan living and dining area and fully equipped kitchen. The Stable offers a well stocked gourmet mini bar, full breakfast provisions, Nespresso coffee pod machine and gourmet pre-prepared meals on hand.

Once the working day is done, relax by the wood fire with a glass of local East Coast pinot noir. Better yet, sink into the private outdoor cedar hot tub for a blissful, therapeutic soak in the beautiful surrounds of Twamley Farm.

Feeling more adventurous? Grab a mountain bike, walking packs, or gourmet picnics and explore Twamley Farm’s many bush trails. The farm is the perfect base for exploring Tasmania’s East Coast, Maria Island National Park, Port Arthur, Richmond and Hobart, all within an hour’s drive from Buckland. Most importantly, don’t forget to save some pats for doggos Minnie, Lulu and Tiger!
