The most divine spot to be inspired. Sit at the window and be mesmerised by the slow lapping of the water. You’ll be in a trance, relaxed and ready to work before you can think. We have outdoor furniture where you can work and you can sit by the water as well on lovely warm days and tap away.

This charming cabin’s interior will pleasantly surprise you, with welcoming tones and tasteful furnishings that complement the tranquil surrounds, just what you need when buckling down to work. Designed with relaxation and comfort in mind, spoil yourself with all your hideaway has to offer.

Enjoy lazy breakfasts in bed, afternoons by the water’s edge quaffing Tasmanian wine and gourmet goodies and retire for the evening making memories under the stars, toasting marshmallows and sipping port around the fire pot.

If you’re looking for a short walk within Strahan and whose wide gravel path makes it easy to access, you can’t go past the Hogarth Falls and People’s Park.

Michelle, curator of the beautiful Salt Box Hideaway, says for the best coffee you must visit Coffee Shack – for the toasties too! But for other great recommendations, ask the locals, they love a chat. When you’ve got your coffee and you’re ready to settle down to work, save a little time each morning for a catch up with the ducks that share the hideaway with you.

Driving from Hobart to Strahan will move you so much you’ll wonder why you’ve not been before. It is a very special area that has a lot of historical feeling.
