The Granary is reminiscent of stone villas found dotted around the South of France. Only 20 minutes from Launceston Airport, this accomodation is the ideal place to step away and immerse yourself in the beauty, history and serenity that is Tasmania.

The jewel in the Granary’s crown is its open-plan living area beneath a frame of Tasmanian oak beams. The kitchen is fully self contained, complete with everything you would need to create a delicious meal. Below the kitchen you will find the stables which are now home to a fully equipped laundry. A private sanctuary of beautiful parkland gardens surrounds The Granary which also encompasses an orchard and hazelnut grove, so there’s many places to park yourself when it’s time to get some work done.

An abundance of activities are within reach if you can bear to leave the allure of The Granary. Centrally located, in the northern Midlands of Tasmania, only 25mins from Launceston, you may day trip to anywhere your heart desires.

The Rustic Bakehouse in Cressy is the locals favourite place to grab a coffee, lunch or a delicious baked treat – we’d recommend the best vanilla slice in the world! They also make fabulous wood fired pizzas on a Friday night.

If you feel like an early morning run, the old stock route is a lovely 8km run taking in the gorgeous countryside and township of Cressy. If you’re feeling active, grab one of the Kayaks and paddle down the beautiful Macquarie River. Head to Derby and try some of their famous mountain bike trails and then treat yourself to the incredible Floating Sauna on Lake Derby. You may like to wader thought the Cataract Gorge in Launceston which is home to the world’s largest single-span chair lift, offering stunning views of the gorge.
