A renovated 1960s beach house on a sandy white beach

Indulge in the best quality, style and comfort that Emu Bay has to offer. Despite looking like the 1960s beach house, Hamilton House was completely renovated in 2018. While still retaining the family history, period details and memories enjoyed in this special multi-generational home, it has now been designed for today’s relaxed beach holiday living.

Set back on a 4,000 square metre block, located right on the prime Emu Bay foreshore, Hamilton House is just 100 metres from the jetty and boat ramp, playground and cricket pitch. Most importantly, however, it is only 100 metres from the five kilometre expanse of Emu Bay’s pristine white sandy beach.

Relax and unwind, surrounded by European and Australian furniture, vintage carpets found in Shanghai, and heritage family pieces. The international and local art, various shell collections, french fireplace and bespoke fittings all combine to create a character and charm unique to the house.

Entertaining is what Hamilton does best. The contemporary kitchen is fitted out with top of the range appliances, and every cooking utensil and serving platter you can imagine is provided, not to mention vintage and hand made crockery and cutlery, cook books and napery. A barbeque is also available for use on the outdoor sundeck, where you can wind down after a day at the desk.

Take a break for lunch on the expansive sun deck, and maybe pop over to the jetty for a short walk. For a truly unique lunch experience, book Gastronomo Dining at Snellings, and you’ll experience dining under a 100 year old fig tree!

After a productive afternoon, switch off with an in-house massage. Pour a gin and tonic and fire up the BBQ, as the sun sets behind you, or nestle by the fire after dinner in the sunken leather lounges, and sleep soundly in fresh linen sheets.
