Check your emails from the leather couch in the front sitting room, or throw open the French doors to enjoy the sunshine in the private Mediterranean courtyard garden, which sits behind high ivy covered limestone walls. Very cozy in the winter, the Cottage is heated by a gas pot belly and ‘Victorian’ open fireplace in the front sitting room, so you’ll feel snug as a bug even during the colder months.
With a well equipped kitchen complete with modern facilities you can cook up a feast each evening. In fact, it still has the original wood stove in situ, adding to the rustic home vibes.
Cafés and restaurants are just at the end of the little street, so you’ll be spoilt for choice for your morning coffee. At night, take a short stroll in the opposite direction to hit the centre of Fremantle, home to Little Creatures, Fremantle Markets and a selection of harbour restaurants. When the sun’s out, take a cycle or follow the walking track around the coastal heath lands to O’Connor Beach and beyond.
